What does a learning journey into decarbonization look like?
At the NUS Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI), it means stepping beyond the classroom and into the world of real research. We recently engaged students from St Patrick’s School, Raffles Institution, Evergreen Secondary School, Raffles Girls’ School and Temasek Junior College through a series of interactive sessions.
The experience began with a guided lab tour, where students saw how research at CHI is shaping solutions for a more sustainable future. From exploring hydrogen as a clean energy source to tackling a crossword challenge, they had the chance to learn, apply, and interact with key concepts in different ways.
For St Patrick’s School, the engagement took place at their school, where a sharing session was conducted, introducing hydrogen’s role in clean energy and its potential in supporting Singapore’s decarbonization efforts.
Moments like these remind us how powerful early exposure can be in sparking curiosity and interest in STEM. We’re excited to continue opening our doors to young learners and sharing the possibilities of hydrogen and decarbonization innovation.🌍
