The 2024 Hydrogen Innovation Challenge
The Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI) invites you to join the Hydrogen Innovation Challenge, where together we will explore how hydrogen can help Singapore achieve a carbon-neutral energy economy by 2050.
The challenge is open to current undergraduates at any tertiary education institute in Singapore. You will form teams of 2-4 in any combination of university/department/degree.
How It Works
Round 1: SYNTHESIS
- Online video (1-3 min) competition on Instagram with the topic “Hydrogen for Singapore in 2050”.
- Top 6 teams from public voting & panel judging will advance to Round 2.
Round 2: IGNITION
- On-stage quiz featuring multiple-choice questions related to hydrogen technologies, economy, and policy. The top 3 teams will receive a cash prize!
- Audience members can participate in a Kahoot version of the quiz & get rewards!
Prizes
1st prize
S$3,000
2nd prize
S$2,000
3rd prize
S$1,000
S$100 worth of prizes each for 4th to 6th place, and certificates for all finalists.
Round 2 audience quiz winner and lucky draw prizes totaling S$200.
