One of the Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI)’s core missions is to nurture a talent pool that is equipped to shape and lead the hydrogen revolution. NUS is the leading educational hub in the region. Our Centre will leverage NUS’ expertise in education to provide both Pre-Employment Training (PET) as well as Continuing Education and Training (CET) in hydrogen energy.
Continuing Education and Training (CET)
The Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI) partners with the NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) and the SkillsFuture Singapore to deliver quality adult training in the area of hydrogen and low-carbon energy technologies. They are designed to upskill and/or reskill individuals and organisations in key aspects of the clean hydrogen sector from production and storage to safety, policy, and commercial development. We invite industry speakers to give their perspectives so that the course remains industry-relevant.
Minor in Hydrogen and Low Carbon Technology
The Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI)supports the NUS College of Design and Engineering, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in educating the undergraduate students and equipped them with industry-relevant knowledge in hydrogen and low-carbon technologies. They will gain critical knowledge and skills to contribute to the emerging hydrogen economy for Singapore. This will prepare them for the workforce and enhance their employability.
Hydrogen Innovation Challenge
The Hydrogen Innovation Challenge is the Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI)’s flagship programme for the youths. The purpose of this competition is to raise awareness and promote positive perceptions about green energy with a focus on hydrogen. We aim to raise students’ interests in the relevant disciplines and to build talent pipelines in the long run.
